De Luca responds to Meloni: “We do not accept the stracciarola style, things in Campania are decided in Naples” – Video

The governor of Campania, Vincenzo De Luca, responds rudely to Giorgia Meloni who, last night, from the Porta a Porta studios, accused him of having misspent European funds by granting too much space to festivals and recreational activities and especially stigmatized the explosion in which the PD administrator called her “str***”. De Luca does not apologize for the epithets, but, during his live on Facebook, he chose another expression intended to increase the controversy. “There is an ongoing campaign of targeted aggression and falsification that always accompanies political aggression. We cannot leave room for those who adopt a stracciarola style, made of vulgarity, approximation, arrogance and mystification. We must avoid giving space to these attitudes: things that concern Campania are decided in Naples and not in Rome and certainly not in the Prime Minister's room.” Then, during the live broadcast, De Luca addressed the substance of the issue by inviting Meloni to a public debate: “Since it is you who are talking to me, why not organize a public debate so that I can explain the subject of European funds to you?”.

Cohesion Fund

De Luca says Campania should have been the first region to sign the agreement on cohesion funds, “because it is the region that suffers the most social suffering in Europe”, and not for other reasons: “If we leave tomorrow morning, we will open the construction sites in 2025”. The subjects who spend are 80-90% “the municipalities and in the case of our Region they are also large companies like Ferrovie dello Stato or Anas, we follow municipalities for reporting”.

No to excuses

De Luca then says that he does not feel obliged to apologize for this “asshole” towards the Prime Minister: “In recent days, the only person who has offended is the Prime Minister, both in press releases and in statements. Stolen sentences count for nothing in civilized countries.” An apology should have arrived, however, says De Luca, because “he says 'go to work' to five hundred administrators who ask to be put in a position to work.” These tones of racism are unacceptable, how dare you? She should have apologized.”
