But even on this, the leader of Action seems categorical: “We will present ourselves, but I will no longer make the mistake of allying myself with Renzi.” But the fact is that Soru did not exceed the 10% threshold. What it takes to join the regional council. And so all the voices of the Third Pole were lost.

And to symbolize an incontestable defeat – admitted by the candidate – there is also the family defeat of the entrepreneur Tiscali: his daughter Camilla will join the Council, he will not. For her, it was also a liberation, as she explains today to Republic: “I am happy that my father is not remembered as the person responsible for the defeat of the center-left.”

Generational relay

“I hope he is well, we never met during the election campaign,” she adds. Who then gives up twisting the knife in the wound: “He lost a mayor who was rejected without appeal by his citizens, also because during an electoral campaign, largely absent, he only stood out for his vile insults towards Michela Murgia, while Todde I went from house to house. Those who chose him and a government that politicized the local challenge have lost and are also starting to disappoint their voters. » For her too, the vote on the island bodes well for Campo Largo: “I hope that the Sardinian vote will force it to be relaunched. We have proven it on the ground, the Democratic Party is no longer in the era of self-sufficiency and I hope that Sardinia will also demonstrate to the M5 that the only viable path is the common path. There is an alternative, when forces on the ground come together and share programs. »
