Two years after the start of the war in Ukraine, Russia is winning on the ground. that is, he wins in the tactical part. He occupies territories which, obviously, did not belong to him two years ago and he seems to want to stay there, even if this victory is also tactical, because it is mathematical, that is to say that the regions which are in possessions of Moscow were not like two years ago, but they were at the disposal of Kiev, but still it remained a resounding victory on the field. If we consider the Russian-speaking regions, not all of them fell into the hands of Moscow. For example, not the entire Donetsk oblast and especially not the city of Kharkiv or Kharkov, as we say in Russian, inhabited by a population conversing largely in the language of Tolstoy. But strategically, as we discuss above DominoRussia is losing the war.

Why is he losing it? For many reasons primarily related to NATO expansion, but there is something even more important: this war has pushed Russia into the arms – or should we say the jaws – of China. And this is where the course of events changes, because if it is a tragedy for Russia, it is also considered a negative development by the Americans who, in the months to come, in the years to come, will want to negotiate with Moscow, thus freezing the conflict in Ukraine to wrest their own Russia from China, China that Washington considers its main enemy. And this is what will change the course of the conflict, whoever wins the elections in the United States, leaving, in the opinion of the Americans, to European countries the reconstruction of a frozen Ukraine within the next few years.
