THE Roberto Morrione Prize for Investigative Journalism return to Turin, from Wednesday 23 to Saturday 26 Octoberwith its Days, organized by the Amici di Roberto Morrione association in collaboration with Rai.

The theme this year is “Despite everything. Journalism that never dies”. and will be developed during the four days with meetings, debates, projections, moments of comparison open to the public, all with free entry, to understand the current role of investigative journalism in an international and national context marked by conflicts, wars and humanitarian crises and where, between threats, precariousness and gags, journalists become often targets to hit.

The Days are dedicated to Ilaria Alpi, Miran Hrovatin, Enzo Baldoni, Andy Rocchelli And Andrei Mironov.

More than 60 speakers expectedamong investigative journalists, communicators and academics. Among these are under 30 in the final of the competition and their guardians, the investigation team of Fanpage.itrepresentatives of the investigative unit of Al Jazeera and survey programs Rai.

Another new feature is the Riccardo Laganà Prize for Biodiversity, Sustainability and Animal Welfare. Strongly desired by the RAI and entrusted to the Amici di Roberto Morrione association, this award was born at the request of family, friends and colleagues in memory of Riccardo Laganà, member of the RAI board of directors, who died suddenly in August 2023. In its first edition, the prize was awarded to Catherine Tarquini And Francesca Sapioauthors of an investigative project selected by a special jury chaired by television journalist and author Sabrina Giannini among those on the theme of the environment and animal rights nominated for the Morrione Prize.
