Voting begins in Sardinia. Solinas council activism before farewell: more than 200 resolutions in the last two weeks

Today, 1,447,761 Sardinians will vote to choose their representatives in the regional council. The island is divided into 1844 electoral sections. Voting will take place today only and until 10 p.m. The counting of votes will, however, begin on Monday at 7 a.m. and continue until 7 p.m. Four are in the running for the post of president of the Region: Lucia Chessa with the autonomist Sardigna R. list-exists, Renato Soru with the Sardinian Coalition composed of five lists, Alessandra Todde for the expanded Pd-M5s camp which brings together 10 lists and Paolo Truzzu of the center-right with nine lists.

The avalanche of resolutions before Solinas's farewell

Daily fact this morning reconstructs the extraordinary activism of the Solinas council before leaving the executive. On February 15 alone, there were 145 resolutions. On February 23, two days before the opening of the vote, 60 decisions were made. It's a shame that most of them aren't available online yet. Only about twenty are visible. Finally, a contribution was approved to compensate for the damage caused by the rains between December 2020 and February 2021. And the “taking of exemption” of cormorants which threaten fishing and certain authorizations for the environmental impact study on a series wind farms. How to vote

You vote, with the same green ballot and writing the name of the councilor candidate, also for the renewal of the Sardinian Legislative Assembly. There are 1,415 candidates for the council divided into 26 lists for 58 available places out of 60. The other two seats will be occupied by the candidate for governor who emerges victorious and the one who comes in second place. A double gender preference is also provided: in this case, it will be necessary to indicate two names of aspiring advisors of different sexes in the same list. Separate voting is also authorized, that is to say the preference for a list (and possibly the registration of the name of an advisor) and for a presidential candidate which are not linked to each other.
