A severe hailstorm hit Turin and its province this afternoon. There are currently about thirty requests for intervention from the fire brigade, in particular for trees and branches that have fallen to the ground. Two people were rescued in Via Torricelli because they were trapped in a car that was blocked by a tree that had crashed into the car. Four people who were in a pirogue were rescued while they were on the Po, near the Balbis bridge. Another tree fell, in Strada del Maniero, on the roof of a house and on the street lighting cables. A shrub also fell on Corso Belgio, while some GTT public transport lines were temporarily interrupted due to hail. (ANSA video)
