Italian Veronica Yoko Plebani, 28, from Brescia di Gavardo, delivers the first medal of the day to the Italian expedition to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, winning silver in the Women's ParaTriathlon PTS 2 event.
Plebani, already bronze in the specialty at Tokyo 2020, finished the race in 1:15.31, preceded by the American Haley Danz (gold 1:14.31) and followed by the other American athlete Allysa Serly (bronze with 1:16.33).
