Naples, the stylized Pulcinella makes you smile (and discuss) – The video

The work of the late Gaetano Pesce is called “Tu si 'na cosa grande” and will be exhibited until December 19 in Piazza Municipio

It's called “Tu si 'na cosa grande”, and it's certainly tall (12 meters), but someone on social media expressed doubt that it looks like Pulcinella. The inauguration of the work dedicated to Naples by the sculptor and designer Gaetano Pesce, who died six months ago in New York, is scheduled for today. The work, a reinterpretation of Pulcinella's dress, with two hearts pierced by an arrow, is part of the “Contemporary Naples” program and can be admired until December 19 in Piazza Municipio. The Pulcinella di Pesce replaces Michelangelo Pistoletto's Venus in Rags, which in turn caused much controversy and was even burned by a homeless man. On social networks, irony is unleashed towards this innovative Pulcinella, precisely because of the phallic shape given by the work of art.
