The premiere takes place during the most important Italian event for the promotion of world tourism. The fair was also an opportunity to put into practice the new strategies for promoting the city on the international market.

The new tools

THE Municipality of Naples it is in fact equipped with OGD (Destination management organization), a useful tool for creating and managing typical services for the Neapolitan city, as well as advantageous for some marketing actionssuch as the promotion, digitalization and development of products necessary for the valorization of the territory in Italy and in the world. In this regard, a framework agreement was signed with RTI CoopCulture and SL&A Turismo e Territorio.

A giant in the desires of tourists

The project manager Stefano Landi confirms that “with this initiative even a capital like Naples, a true giant in the imagination and desire of Italian and (increasingly) foreign tourists, is equipped with a destination organization that evolves according to world standards”. The three days at the TTG in Rimini were an opportunity to meet operators in the sector and introduce them to the new face of the Campania city. The presence of the Department of Tourism at the fair was a way of talking about one of the most visited and appreciated cities in Italy and the world.

The installation in Piazza Municipio

It was created in Naples even a fixed installation, who will travel around the world through tourists' selfies for their social networks. So everyone will be able to witness their passage through the city. The installation depicts some of the main symbols of Neapolitanism: from Maradona to the murals of San Gennaro, including traditional cuisine. There are also images of Naples metro stations, fascinating and futuristic. “Our logo is also located in front of the 'open' port of the city, specifically to welcome those who arrive in Naples by sea”, explains the Councilor for Tourism and Productive Activities of the Municipality of Naples, Teresa Armato.
