A 15-year-old boy died and three others were seriously injured in a road accident that occurred today, Sunday 22 September, at dawn, on a state road in the Ramacca area, in the Catania region. Firefighters rescued the four people who were trapped in their car, an Audi Q5, which left the road for reasons that are still under investigation. One of the boys, aged fifteen, died instantly while the other three were rushed to the Cannizzaro, San Marco and Garibaldi hospitals in Catania. The carabinieri of the Palagonia and Ramacca commands intervened on the scene to carry out the necessary investigations and determine the causes of the accident. “Today is a day of immense pain for our community. In the early hours of the morning we learned with dismay of the tragic death of young Claudio, involved in a car accident on the state road 288. Claudio, who had not yet reached the age of majority, lost his life, leaving an unfillable void in our hearts”, the words of the mayor of Ramacca, Nunzio Vitale.
