The exhibition “Castel Gandolfo 1944”, 80 years after the Allied bombing which struck the summer villa of Propaganda Fide on February 10, 1944 – inside the Pontifical Villas of Castel Gandolfo – causing more than five hundred victims among the refugees refugees, recalls this passage from the historian of extraordinary hospitality, including assistance and care provided to displaced people and offering previously unpublished images.
