Curiosity: The term “pezzotto” entered the Treccani vocabulary of the Italian language and was registered as a neologism. It is a diminutive of “pezzo”, originating from the Neapolitan dialect and local Italian. In recent times, it has come to designate the corner used in carpentry and the patch in sewing, and has then become synonymous with a counterfeit object through the jargon of the underworld and the lexicon of youth.
