Spalletti half happy: “We are still too superficial”

Italy in chiaroscuro for Italian coach Luciano Spalletti. Lots of things to sort out and others to enjoy like the movements of the central attack, Retegui. “We did good things, but we were light on penalties and when we conceded goals. Then we played a good game with the three-man defense and followed it up with the 4-3-3. We have to work on that. Coaching point of view physical impact we have to put something more because we are superficial on certain things. Retegui? Those who score goals always put more than the others, he kept the ball well, he led in the defensive phase and then he did what he had to do.”

The evening's scorer, Retegui, echoes: “I'm happy with my game and to have helped the team. Now we rest and prepare for Sunday (against Ecuador).”
