The “Crew 8” mission has begun. After a failed first attempt due to high winds, the Crew Dragon Endeavor shuttle was launched this morning – Monday, March 4 – from the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral in Florida with a Falcon 9 rocket. It will transport NASA astronauts to the International Space Station. Matthew Dominick, Michael Barratt and Jeanette Epps and cosmonaut Alexander Grebenkin, from the Russian space agency Roscosmos. After docking with the ISS, the crew will begin a six-month orbiting mission to carry out approximately 200 scientific experiments. The launch was originally scheduled for February 22, but was later postponed to March 28 and then March 1.
